Bahuze, Goodwin, Buanza Recognized As USCAA All Americans
The York County Community College Track & Field program brought home national recognition last week, as three Hawks earned All-American honors at the USCAA National Championships.
Leading the way was Arthur Bahuze, who earned Second Team All-American honors after a runner-up finish in the Javelin. Bahuze uncorked a personal best throw of 39.71 meters to take second place nationally and continue a breakout season for the Hawks thrower.
Rachel Goodwin earned All-American Honorable Mention honors with a third-place finish in the Discus. Goodwin delivered one of the top performances of her collegiate career on the national stage, adding another major accomplishment to an impressive season for the Hawks women’s squad.
On the track, Gedeao Buanza captured All-American Honorable Mention honors in the hurdles, finishing third overall with a time of 59.23. Buanza’s performance capped off a strong national meet for York County and showcased the continued growth of the Hawks sprint and hurdle program.
The trio’s performances helped cap a historic season for York County Track & Field, as the Hawks continue to establish themselves as one of the rising programs in the USCAA.
