Hawks Track Breaks 5 School Records to Open Outdoor Season
The York County Community College Track & Field team opened the outdoor season in impressive fashion, breaking five school records and delivering a strong all-around team performance.
Leading the way on the track, first year Landin Napolitano sprinted to a 3rd place finish in the 200m, setting a new school record (23.28) and establishing himself as one of the top performers of the meet.
On the women’s side, first year Tiffany Souliere had a standout day, breaking two school records in the 100m and 200m.
Distance standout first year Gavin Sampson continued his record-breaking momentum, setting a new school record in the 5K (16:46) highlighting a strong start to the outdoor campaign.
In the field events, first year Gavin Nicholson cleared a new school record in the pole vault, while first year Ryenn Baker secured a 6th place finish in the shot put.
Overall, the Hawks demonstrated depth, competitiveness, and continued progression across all event groups, signaling a promising season ahead.
