Spring Sports Wrap Up
Spring 2026 was a semester filled with milestones for the Hawks Athletics Department. For the first time in the school's history - the Hawks earned 4 Player of the Year awards within the conference, compiled a whopping 6 USCAA All-Americans across two sports and for the first time in school history, captured a YSCC Conference Championship!
On the baseball field, the Hawks finished the season with a 30-12 record and a runner-up finish in the Yankee Small College Conference. The team spent much of the season ranked in the top-15 of the national coaches poll and finished the year tied for 10th in the USCAA Power Rankings.
The Hawks also earned three All-American selections. Brady Batson was named a USCAA First Team All-American after putting together the best pitching season in program history. Jack Sullivan and Noah Bryan were both recognized as USCAA Second Team All-Americans.
Within the conference, Jack Sullivan was named the YSCC Player of the Year, while Brady Batson earned YSCC Pitcher of the Year honors.
Track and field continued its rapid rise this spring as well. The Men's team captured the first conference championship in school history, narrowly defeating Hampshire College at the YSCC Championship Meet. It was a special moment for a program that has grown tremendously in a short amount of time under first year Head Coach Cam Meserve.
Several Hawks earned national recognition during the outdoor season. Arthur Bahuze was named a USCAA Second Team All-American, while Gedeao Buanza and Rachel Goodwin received All-American Honorable Mention recognition.
The conference awards continued to roll in for track and field. Gavin Sampson was named the YSCC Men's Track Athlete of the Year after another outstanding season, and Ryenn Baker earned YSCC Women's Field Athlete of the Year honors.
Altogether, YCCC student-athletes earned six All-American honors this spring while bringing home multiple major conference awards and the first conference championship in school history for our track and field program.
The Hawks Athletics Department looks to continue building on successes next Fall, with Men's Soccer looking to improve on last season's playoff appearance, and the launch of Women's Volleyball for its inagural season.
