YCCC traveled to Auburn on Thursday to take on the CMCC Mustangs under the lights.
The Hawks jumped out to an early 5-0 lead in the second inning and never let off the gas, tallying 20 runs for the second time in 3 games.
"It was a sloppy game on both sides" said coach Robinson. "The rain made it hard for pitchers to grip the ball. We were able to find a way to get on base and capitalize when we had opportunities to score.
"This place gave us fits in the fall, and everyone remembered that. We were the better team today, and that showed over 9 innings. Now it's time to reset the focus and win all 14 innings tomorrow."
Maksim Masse was named Player Of The Game, tossing 5 innings of one-run baseball and going 3 for 3 at the plate with a triple and a double.
"I think I did pretty good" said Mak. "Baseball is fun when you're playing well."
It's a short turnaround for the Hawks, who travel back up to Auburn again on Friday for a doubleheader against CMCC.
