YCCC Bounces Back with 3-0 Sweep of Indiana University Indianapolis
After a tough loss last week YCCC Marvel Rivals looked to right the ship and get back into the W collum. After a few hours of tech issues YCCC got into map one much later than planned, but it didn’t seem to matter much. YCCC stuck to their game plan and rolled their way to a strong map one victory with relatively little issue.
Debuting a new comp in map two a few points on attack side got close, with IUI forcing three separate overtimes, all of which YCCC overcame to start map two 3-0. Once the sides switched IUI could not chip YCCC’s unbreakable defense and were relegated to playing most of map two from their own spawn. Dominate play from our pair of first-year supports, including a career best 73 assists from Cypher Urland, and some massive ultimates from Tucker Webb, victory was never much in doubt. YCCC took map two 3-0, moving the series to 2-0.
In the third and final map YCCC once again was put on the attack to start off the map. This time IUI would not be able to stop YCCC’s adjusted comp as they steam rolled their way to a fast 3-0 half on map three, thanks in part to first-year player Rey Qualls massive 5-player Scarlet Witch ultimate. After swapping sides YCCC once again stood tall, forcing IUI to play almost the entire attack side from their spawn. YCCC took map three, and the series, 3-0
