Hawks Win Big On Wells Youth Soccer Night
On the night they opened conference play, the Hawks delivered a dominant performance in front of the Wells Youth Soccer League, who packed the stands to support their local club.
The scoring began in the 20th minute when Arthur Bahuze smashed home a volley into the left side of the net to make it 1-0. That strike opened the floodgates. Just minutes later, Gabe Cyr, Shahid Djuma, and Huseen Saad combined for three goals in a four-minute span, sending the Hawks into halftime with a commanding 4-0 lead.
York kept its foot on the gas in the second half. Gervasio Nzombo and Kevin Paulino each found the back of the net, while Cyr added his second of the night to cap a 7-0 rout.
Goalkeeper Ryen Royce stood tall between the posts, recording his first clean sheet of the season.
The Hawks return to action Sunday at home for a non-conference clash against Quinsigamond CC.
