Gray Signs with Hawks
The York County Hawks have reason to celebrate! Ellie Gray is the first softball player to sign with the Hawks with the inaugural season kicking off in the fall of 2023.
Wells, ME: The York County Hawks have reason to celebrate! Ellie Gray is the first softball player to sign with the Hawks with the inaugural season kicking off in the fall of 2023. Ellie will be majoring in Liberal Studies at YCCC.
Ellie hails from North Berwick, and recently graduated Noble High School. The 2022 graduate played for Noble High School as well as the Team Maine travel squad. York County Hawks Head Softball Coach served as her coach when she competed with Team Maine. Ellie will play first base for the Hawks in 2023. She brings a .375 batting average which will be an immediate impact for the team.
Coach Duane Romano says “Ellie brings a strong work ethic, great leadership skills, and dedication to her team’s success. She is the kind of player who would run through the fence to make a play.
