First Year Women's Cross-Country Student-Athlete
Augusta, ME – The York County Community College Hawks participated in UMA Moose Invitational on Saturday, September 10th. It was their first race of the season. With a men’s team laden with newcomers and an addition of another female runner, the Hawks had a good showing.
Coach Andrew Clement (Falmouth, ME) is in his first year as both the Cross Country and Track and Field coach. In this short time, Clement has worked tirelessly to build a competitive athletic programs. Previously a student-athlete at the University of Maine in Orono, he ran the 200-meter dash while studying Marine Biology. He then earned his master's degree in Professional Science before taking on the head coaching responsibilities at YCCC.
STANDISH, ME—The York County Community College Hawks participated in the Runnin’ Monks Invitational on Saturday, October 9th. It was their third race of the inaugural season.
Freshman, Maggie Dallaire, is a recent graduate of Biddeford High School where she was a standout student-athlete. She played soccer all four years and was a member of both the indoor and outdoor track and field teams as well as softball, tennis, and unified basketball.
WELLS, ME-- Freshman, Kiara Audette, was named Yankee Small College Conference Runner of the Week after an outstanding performance in her first collegiate race at Vermont Tech over the weekend.
RANDOLPH,VT— The men’s and women’s cross country teams traveled to Vermont Tech to participate in the 2021 Maple Syrup Challenge. This historical day recorded the very first intercollegiate cross country competition that York County Community College has ever entered.
WELLS, ME-- The Hawk family is proud to announce the newest addition to the Athletic Department. Andy Clement will join the Hawks as the head coach for the Women’s and Men’s Cross Country and Track & Field program.
WELLS, ME- York County Community College has strived over the years to create the best, most progressive environment for their students, staff and faculty, as well as their local community. The most recent development for the college is the addition of intercollegiate athletic competition; set to begin the fall of 2021.
